Technology Center introduces electronic document management

The Laboratory of Information Security and Communication Technologies of the Technological Center of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan has developed the software «E-Document Management System «E-DOC». The program has been successfully introduced into the electronic document management system in the Technology Center itself, as well as in other scientific institutes of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. In these scientific institutions, the exchange of documents in electronic form will provide a digital environment based on information and communication technologies based on the use of electronic means, services and resources.

Designed to create a digital environment based on information and communication technologies, this software will help integrate the science system into a single system of electronic document management in our country.

The «digital» infrastructure has been implemented in accordance with the requirements of the Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2019—2025 and the requirements of the «Unified Technical Requirements for the Electronic Document Management System», approved by the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. It provides for the presence in the system of a complete set of tools for managing documents at all stages of their life cycle: creation, editing, storage. The program also supports document routing capabilities and, of course, basic functions such as search, classification, etc.

The developed program «Electronic Document Management System «E-DOC» received a certificate of the State Service for Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan for No. 223.

The Laboratory of Information Security and Communication Technologies has a license to carry out activities in the field of cybersecurity (license of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan No. 1-11-20-83 dated 05.05.2021).

In this regard, the laboratory specialists, in addition to developing an electronic document management system, create websites (traditional and specialized), mobile applications, IT consulting, develop automated solutions, set up servers and perform other types of cybersecurity services.

In particular, the laboratory staff developed the website of the Technology Center under the domain name www.scitech.gov.tm, which regularly posts information about the scientific activities of the Center and scientific and practical conferences held at the Center.
